What is Live Ideas?

Live Ideas turns your ideas into collaborative projects. Live Ideas provides real world opportunities for Southern Cross University students and staff to work with community partners for mutual benefit.

Live Ideas, an initiative of Southern Cross University, is just one way that we enrich communities through the excellence of our graduates and the quality of our teaching and research.

Want to partner with Southern Cross University? Submit your project idea to our Live Ideas team. We will assess and promote approved projects for interested staff and students to come on board. Have a question? Contact us and sign up for our newsletter.

Looking for a community project that is ready to go? Search through projects and when you find a live idea that suits, join the project and we will get you started. There are lots of different projects, from a small volunteer project to something more in-depth for independent study units or research. Have a question? Contact us and we are happy to assist.

Yoga2Cure Organising Committee

Get behind this incredibly worthwhile cause! As part of Yoga2Cure, students are to form a committee to host ongoing yoga classes to raise awareness about children's childhood cancer and simultaneously raise money for the cause. You will be responsible for organising, managing and coordinating the project. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, many events across NSW and Australia have been cancelled or postponed. This is having devastating effects on the critical funds needed for finding a cure for childhood cancer. The support of our community at this time is essential to us continuing our life-changing research. Yoga2Cure is an incredible opportunity to advocate our mission and develop fundraising strategies remotely. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, this project can be managed remotely. A dedicated Children’s Cancer Institute supervisor will be available for support online. Working on this project you will make a difference in Key Impact Area: Civic Engagement; Sustainable Development Goal: Good Health & Well-being (SDG 3).
