Learn about lemon myrtle, challenges and opportunities associated with farming (e.g. environmental factors, etc.) and the production process from well-known Australian lemon myrtle experts. Work with our production lead and COO to develop your skills in Quality Control (QC)/ Quality Assurance (QA)/ Goods Manufacturing Practises (GMP). This project is best suited to an environmental science internship (ENV00224) student.
The Sensory Gym
A wonderful opportunity for 2nd, 3rd & 4th year OT students to work on a week long camp with children who have disruptions in their sensory processing. This is a particularly valuable opportunity for students who are interested in working with paediatrics in the future.
The camp runs from April 19-24, 2020 and is suited to students studying Occupational Therapy.

Working with local Aboriginal communities in the management of Sea Country to reduce the threats and risks to Aboriginal cultural heritage. Tasks will include mainly weed control and rubbish collection. Would suit students looking for volunteering opportunities as well as students studying COM30001 and SCI00211.
Intensive agriculture along the Richmond River has resulted in issues facing the river's water quality, soil nutrient deficiency & erosion. To combat that we will provide riparian rehab via bush regen, weed control & re-establishing native vegetation. Would suit students studying ENV00224 and SCI00111.
Support a young person to create community change! Youth Frontiers is a mentoring program for 12-16 year old children, focusing on positive relationship development, leadership and community engagement. We are seeking volunteer mentors to support young people across the Northern Rivers. This project would suit volunteers or students enrolled in Community Engagement Project COM30001 and Introduction to Social Welfare SOY10105.
