The Murwillumbah sports clubs located within Knox Park are seeking assistance from students to create a community sports day that will promote health and wellbeing throughout the Murwillumbah community post-COVID-19.
Working on this project you will make a difference in Key Impact Area: Health and Ability; Sustainable Development Goal: Good Heath & Well-being (SDG 3).
Time required: 4 hours per week
Duration: 12 weeks

To create a sporting event that will encourage people of all ages to participate in a court sport within Knox Park, Murwillumbah (netball, basketball, and tennis). It will be an annual event, where people can try out a sport, meet the sporting associations, and become part of a team.
* The creation of a pitch-deck ready to present to the Tweed Shire Council, that outlines the advantages of such an event.
* A scoping document that outlines all key considerations for activating sport in a public place.
It meets the Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing.
They will gain real-world experience in scoping a concept and turning it into a viable business proposal. They will build community networks. They will learn how to negotiate partnership agreements between non-profit organisations and Councils.
