A film festival of contemporary and classic food films where the audience gets the opportunity to taste the food featured in each film will be held in March 2019 in Murwillumbah NSW. We are seeking a team of volunteers to assist in its smooth running. This opportunity suits students enrolled in COM30001, HLT10595 and SOY10105

Overview

Aims

To enable students to gain experience in conducting a cultural festival. Responsibilities include selling tickets, greeting patrons, ensuring a smooth flow of patrons into and out of the venues, setting up the venue according to the program.

Outcomes

The Festival runs according to the operations plan and patrons are well looked after and feel the Festival was a positive experience.

Needs to be addressed

This is the inaugural Festival and the Committee will rely on the strong support of volunteers to ensure a positive outcome.

Skills required of project members
We need assistance from people with enthusiasm who would like events management experience. Students need to be reliable and hard working under pressure.

Benefits to students

Students will be a part of an international film festival. Students will be able to attend screenings when not on duty. Students will work closely with the Committee who have events management experience.
