This project will assist the Wilsons River Landcare Group in the ecological restoration of lowland subtropical rainforest on riverbank and the bush regeneration of urban catchment areas aligning to the Lismore City Council Urban Green Corridors Strategy. This opportunity suits student volunteers or students enrolled in COM30001.

The main aims of the projects are:
• To increase the capacity of the WRLG for promotion, community education and marketing of their ecological restoration work
• To develop a short animation that illustrates how the groups work has transformed the riverbank from a degraded state with weeds to subtropical lowland rainforest.
• Increased communication, marketing and education capacity of the WRLG
• Animation for the WRLG to use in community education around ecological restoration of lowland subtropical rainforest on riverbanks.
The project will provide the WRLG with much needed on ground support.
Students will benefit from experience in delivering promotional materials according to a real world brief. They will also benefit from experience working with a community not for profit group actively restoring the Lismore riverbank. Students would be acknowledged as the content authors in all use of the promotional material.
WRLG can provide the brief, background advice, material as to the groups activities, site inspection, field day if desired, photographs, images, logo and existing websites and social media sites.
