Northern Rivers Science Hub

The Northern Rivers Science Hub is looking for an events, media or communications student/s to help us pivot to online science communication events. This would suit students enrolled in COM30001 or student volunteers with an interest in science communication.

Working on this project you will make a difference in Key Impact Area: Education; & Sustainable Development Goal: Quality Education (SDG 4).

Overview

Aims

1. Engage the community in science through online events.
2. Engage the community in conversation around bright synergistic science ideas.

Outcomes

A series of online events to be held before December 2020.

Needs to be addressed

This project addresses the need for broader community engagement in science, and building science literacy. We need assistance with pivoting to online events in response to COVID 19.

Benefits to students

Students would benefit through participation in the development of virtual community events, developing a science communication program for a regional science communication group connected to the national science communication network.
